Market Companion is an informational financial wellness app that helps users understand broad US market sentiment and market context. This Privacy Policy explains how information may be stored or processed when you use the app.

Information Stored on Your Device

Market Companion may store app preferences locally on your device so the app can remember your experience. This may include:

• Language preference.
• Local app settings and display preferences.
• Local ad unlock state for rewarded features where applicable.
• Generated or shared PDF report files only when you choose to create or share them through the device's native share flow.

This local app data is not sent to PungPung Studio by default.

No Account Required

Market Companion does not currently require users to create an account. We do not ask for your name, email address, password, payment card, brokerage account, tax ID, or government identifier inside the app.

Market Data and Public APIs

The app retrieves broad market information from public or compatible market data endpoints, including Fear & Greed data, VIX data, major US index data, and optional economic calendar data if configured. These requests may involve normal internet connection information such as IP address, device network details, request time, and technical headers processed by the relevant data providers.

AI Brief and PDF Reports

Market Companion may generate informational summaries or PDF reports from available market data. These features are designed with non-advisory guardrails. Reports and summaries are for broad market context only and should not be treated as financial advice or personalized recommendations.

Advertising

Market Companion uses Google AdMob to show ads. This may include banner ads, rewarded ads, and launch interstitial ads.

Google AdMob may process information such as advertising identifiers, device and app information, IP address, approximate location, ad impressions, ad interactions, consent status, and diagnostic information for ad delivery, frequency capping, fraud prevention, measurement, and personalization where allowed.

If personalized advertising or tracking is used, iOS may show Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission prompt. You can manage tracking permissions in iOS Settings. Android users can manage advertising-related settings through their device and Google settings where available.

Notifications

Market Companion may include notification placeholders or future optional notification features. If notifications are added and you enable them, Apple Push Notification service or Firebase/Google notification services may process the device token needed to deliver notifications. Notification preferences may be stored locally on your device.

Analytics and Diagnostics

The current app is structured so analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration, or additional data services can be added later. If Market Companion adds analytics, crash reporting, or remote configuration services, this policy will be updated to describe the information processed by those services.

Third-Party Services

Market Companion may use third-party services including Apple platform services, Google Play services, Google AdMob, market data providers, and device share/preview services. These services may process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.

Data Deletion
